We are the Norfolk Craft Mafia. We're a collective of independent artists, crafters and business owners. We serve as an assembly for the betterment of progressively thinking creative people through networking, skill sharing and resource building.

We have monthly crafter's roundups the first Sunday evening of each month where we share food, work on projects and just have fun being around like minded creative people. They're free and open to the public.

The Norfolk Craft Mafia is also hosting a series of skill-sharing workshops (free to Craft Mafia members), and would love your help if you have a valuable skill to share! In the past we've hosted a "Get Yr Craft On(Line)" workshop where members shared their expertise on photo hosting, blogs and Etsy.com. We also had a very successful Learn to Knit workshop! We are planning several more for the spring including a ceramics workshop at the ODU ceramics studio. If you have suggestions for other workshops you'd like to see (or even better, ones you'd like to help teach), please go post in the forum!

Our first annual holiday arts & crafts show, Handmade Parade was held on November 10, 2007 here in Norfolk. It was a rousing success and lots of people got their holiday shopping done while supporting independent artists and avoiding the malls!
