Who can join the Norfolk Craft Mafia?
Independent artists, crafters and business owners who embody a DIY ethic and want to support the local craft scene. All Hampton Roads residents are welcome!
So why should I become a mafiosa?
Two heads are better than one! By joining the Norfolk Craft Mafia you will become part of a community of likeminded creatives and have access to the collective resources and skills of the entire group. As a member, you will be able to attend the skill-sharing workshops hosted by the Craft Mafia for free (non members can attend workshops, but there will be a fee of $15), and promote your business to a wider range of people. You'll also make some new crafty friends!
Membership in the Norfolk Craft Mafia also provides access to collective advertising, collective entrance to craft shows and a link to your crafty business on the website. The Craft Mafia can only be what we make it, so once you're a member, share ideas and get to networkin'! The sky is the limit! We also highly encourage members to participate and post regularly in our online forum!
Is there a cost for membership?
If you join the Craft Mafia there will be a fee of $20 per year to cover web hosting costs as well as dues we pay to the founding chapter of the Craft Mafia. That's like a nickel per day. Any other expenses incurred by the Mafia will be split equally among participating members.
